Captain Grimes on his way to Coventry City?

Who do you think will play there on Saturday? or do you think Williams will risk a different tactical approach or formation (with what, 2 days of training behind it)? We'll see, but I would expect to see Fulton come in for Grimes and he'll try and keep some continuity in style, at least for this game. Long term, who knows.
I think he will just go with a bank of 2 holding midfielders, I would say it will be Allen/Fulton and Franco.
Full backs will play a more traditional role so no inverted full backs.

Franco is more than capable of playing in the DM role and seems to shift the ball quicker than Grimes, we just need to sort something out further up the field centrally.

Nothing's happened other than Coventry and Frank Lampard have decided to give us the thick end of £4m for a 30-y/o player whose only strength is passing accurately over very short distances to the side or backwards.

They've offered him a big wage hike. Money talks.

There is no conspiracy. It's just a deal that works for everyone involved (especially us).

Not for me, this is a deal that only works within the mind of Coleman. I'm not big fan of Grimes but selling our captain with a few days of the window remaining when the squad is already short is tinpot to say the least.

As I say, no reason why this couldn't have happened in the summer.

Coventry might not have fancied handing £4m to us in summer. They might have looked elsewhere. They might have gone off him. Hell, we might have been in League One and so desperate we'd have been happy to take a million.

It's the right deal at the right time for everyone involved imo.

Probably on the cov message board introducing them to the blueprint

Yep, playing out from the back the ‘Swansea way’

I’d rather have Franco stamping all over their DMs winning the ball back higher up the pitch. I’d play Joey DM as he’s hardly an attacking threat.

You take the money when it’s offered. That’s unfortunately the reality of where we are. Any decent club has targets for all positions already identified. And despite the obvious screw ups, we’re still a decent club. They moved quickly on this Swedish bloke. And we found Franco, so there’s some room for optimism.

And also it's true to say that Fulton won't have the weird, mystical demi-god hold over everyone that Grimes had. If something isn't working, the manager might actually feel liberated to try something else rather than just having to play Grimes every minute of every game regardless as if there's just no possibility of doing anything differently.
Aye there’s no way they’ll all be determined to look for Fulton with every pass, mainly because f**k knows where on the pitch he’ll actually be.

You don’t think inverted full backs is Williams big idea 😳?. You think Grimes made them do it?
