And they'll probably go back on their forum and say "hang on a minute guys, he might be shit" like some of ours did with Tymon, only to be told to pipe down and stop being so negative. There's probably some Coventry fans who saw the link to a Swansea player who most have never heard of, who come on here to see if there's any chatter and they see 1000 pages of angst, joy, conspiracy theories, apocalyptic foreboding etc. and are wondering what the f*ck is going on.
Might give the Coventry home game a miss next season. And they'll probably go back on their forum and say "hang on a minute guys, he might be shit" like some of ours did with Tymon, only to be told to pipe down and stop being so negative.
Cut to 12 months later, and the "I told you sos"....
One problem, Coventry ain't getting relegated...Might give the Coventry home game a miss next season.
Not sure I can handle half the ground creaming their pants when he takes a corner for Coventry.
And they won’t let him near corners or free kicks by next season. One problem, Coventry ain't getting relegated...
Season after next, thenOne problem, Coventry ain't getting relegated...
Fair points, but if playing fortunes go pete tong and income in the form of gate revenue, merchandising etc mirrors the on field performances the club will need to make big savings.Possibly.
Given that we are only chucking out wages around 6/8k on wages then 2 players on 8k a week wil still see us nearly 10k a week better off.
Throw in the wages cleared off the books until the end of the season with outgoing loans, Abdullai and Abbey also off the wages.
Lampard may not let him sit between the centre halves like Williams and Martin before him, and actually have him playing further forward . Could be a good signing for them, and in truth, for us . He's doing our side no favours playing where he is.Yep. You watch he goes and people will be bringing out his stats at Coventry. They mean nothing to me. What did it do in our 5-1? I will take a hungry young player with Franco and a soft reset. Something has to change. This might be a bleasing in disguise.
No pressure then..come guys whilst not a great player in my eyes he has been there for seasons and if a better payday comes along honestly who would not take it? so for me ( and am not a huge fan of his ) thanks Matt and best of luck.
Now the real problem we should be looking at is the chairman has just a few days to pull 3 or 4 rabbits out of his hat or lose what credability he has left, lose even more fans and watch the club fall through the trap door in the lower div. we will see by 11pm next monday at 11pm we will have a club sliding into div 1 or a club that will pick up momentum for this season with a few GOOD new players , all down to Mr Colman
That's a fair point. Plenty of players have made it clear they want out but not submitted an official transfer request as they want to keep every penny. I doubt it's huge amounts with Grimes, but every little helps with the black hole that is our finances.Grimes handing in a transfer request will have saved us a bit of money as he is no longer entitled to contractual bonuses like signing-on fees and loyalty bonuses
Although Wales Online say that he’s told Williams and Coleman he wants to leave but hasn’t handed in a formal transfer reauestThat's a fair point.
