Grimes...

Wish I’d taken screenshots, she let rip on the OnlySwans instagram and made herself look ridiculous.

She was even banging on about how he helped us win our “precious double double that we always bang on about”.

My attitude toward grimes leaving was this, all the best to him, take the cash while you can, football is a business in both ends of the spectrum players and directors
Do you remember what she said fully?

Not fully sorry, but she had a crack at the admin guy, said he was tidy when she spoke to him where he worked, and named his work place and had a right pop at him. Bloke then stated that there are 3 admins to the page so she may have “outed” someone who had nothing to do with posting etc

No doubt they’ll crop up soon !

Of course she's going to defend him - but she was the one posting a picture of herself crying in her car on her kids last day in school here because she didn't want to move. Can't have it both ways.

Yes, there's more than a whiff of Martinezitis with the bitterness of some of the posts. Given how many disliked his style of playing (nothing wrong with that) you would think people would be overjoyed with his departure and wish him well.

His wife is supposed to support him, and how can our fans rile up against her given some of the attitude stirred up towards the boy. I’d expect every single one of you to stand up for your families in the same circumstances. Football fans are embarrassingly entitled and ours are no exception.

Fact - it’s easy to avoid injury as a footballer by not going in for tackles.
Unfortunately the actual facts are that his tackle stats (number made) and tackles won are actually very decent.
Which is the point I am making - He is no superstar, but people blind themselves to facts because they don't like his style.
It is easy to say that none of his former managers thought he was a target to step up to the Premier - but similarly ALL of those managers chose him EVERY week to play in the championship.
Now all of what I just said is easily provable by actual facts.
And let's be clear I am no fan boy and am glad we cashed in and moved on. I just get frustrated with people refusing to engage with data when having a debate.
Let's all move on - does his wife have a nice pair of tits? You tell me whether you like them or not, and I will tell you the cup size :)

A cracking bit of business getting rid of him. We were never going to be an entertaining, fast-moving attacking team with him pulling the strings.

The difference since he's been gone has been night and day.

Last night's game was the first time I've really had a chance to see him play since he left. I saw the same slow moving sideways/back passing player there as here with a little more passing forward ability than demonstrated with us. One thing I was impressed with him, he was hacked down in the second half (yellow card earned) and he got up straight away and carried on.

I was pleased Sunderland got through, but not solely because of Grimes, Sunderland finished highest of the two, Cov fans have been billy big bollocks even before Lampard took charge, and it's a bloody long way to Sunderland to watch us.

I didn't see the match, but Grimes' 21 passes into the final third was more than twice as many as any other midfielder on either side. The highly acclaimed Bellingham had 7. I wonder which Swansea player those brown tinted specs will be applied to next season.

She has a point to be fair. Don't know why some feel the need to turn against former players - certainly some bitterness there

What do you mean by turn against?

There were plenty on here that had done that long before he departed, due to the way he played for us.

Most player leave here and that’s the end, but similar to Russ, they had a cult like following.

I think going against a player is Liverpool with TAA.

There's been some light ribbing initially against Grimes from what I've seen?
