• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

It's true, I don't attend these days for various reasons. My first game was 1966. Yours?

Anyway, what was Russball about today's performance?

1965.

What was Russball about today?

58% possession at 3-0 down, walking football, more sideways and back passes than forward passes, having to go back to keeper every time to reset a new move, 3 useless centre backs failing miserably at imitating Man City, Grimes and Fulton doing neat little one-twos all game except going backwards, ballwatching defending, you want more?

1965. Brilliant.

f*****g hell lads, it's the second game of the season mind.

I still remember the panic under Sousa, after Boro demolished us after we’d lost at Leicester. Today was bloody awful mind, no avoiding it.

Far more a total study in what not to than anything else. Unless Duff sees that, the next few weeks are going to be bloody painful.

Innit. Playing with wing backs is fckn pointless if they've no pace/dont at least attempt to overlap. We looked shapeless and clueless. With Grimes dropping deeper to pick up the ball it then meant Piroe doing the same leaving Yates stranded. Just fckn basics mun.

Spot on, you could see Wuss oozing out their pores in today game, it's going to take a while get eradicate out of the squad.

We have 3 poor CB's.. no.leaders amongst them or any clue on how to pick up a player or read the game. Our achilles heel last season still staring us in the face.

Patino and Gino need to start next week and can we please get a replacement for bango ffs

He looks awful I’d happily have Martin sticking a bid in for him.

Agree. Cardiff much better. I reckon they’ll get automatic promotion this year. Jog on Rodge!

Cardiff are worst than us. And we need to stop focusing on that lot, its embarrassing. I couldn’t care less what they do.

But if you think we’re going anywhere this season you’re all in for a hard time of it. I’ve seen nothing from Duff or these crap players that we’re better than a 10th place finish.

If you’re all happy with that, you’ll be fine. I’m not, I’m an ambitious person.

2 fucking games, give it a rest son or at least wait until he's played 3 games before you call for his head, by the way who would you replace Duff with now?

I'll be very happy with a 10th place finish, and will think that Michael Duff has done a good job if we get that. It's a work in progress and finishing between 7th and 20th is unimportant.
