No doubt he’ll try and concentrate on the penalty which would certainly have changed the game, but that just wasn’t good enough. A clear indication why passing for passing’s sake and going backwards rather than looking for the incisive pass, which was often on, is simply a style that will fail on many days.

Defend like we do and shoot like we did today you deserve to lose a game of football.. We've been all over the place today as a team. Simply not good enough.

Our shooting has been abysmal today. Why don't professional players know how to keep the shot down?

I would fine them for a) not shooting if in a position to do so and b) putting it over the bar when they do shoot. Keep it down and there’s the chance of a rebound. Players rarely hit the top corners.
