There’s a phenomenal amount of ground game organising being done by the Dems but I’m fully expecting the Republicans to get both Senate seats.

I read that the Republicans in other States were spending huge amounts of money to Georgia to purchase airwave time etc as they realise how important retaining control of the Senate is, but there a lot of internal strife though in the Republican Party and I suspect a lot of it is jostling for position as the heir apparent to Trump.

Well thats it, noone knows what the republican party will look like after 20th January. I expect they'll go full Alex Jones InfoWars, QAnon conspiracy cult. They are already halfway there.

Its exactly what he did to James comey when he asked him to drop the general flyn investigation, the sacked him when he didn't and bragged about getting rid of the head of the FBI to a Russian spy master, he said that crazy stuff to the republican Georgia officials because he knows he will pardon himself from any liability from it

Looking increasingly like the Senate will be tied at 50/50 with the Vice President getting the deciding vote. Trump era ends with him being utterly toxic for Republicans at the ballot box costing them control of the Senate.

Texas and North Carolina are more likely to change than Florida. Increasingly urban and educated (like Georgia). The change was slow, but Clark County-Athens, and home of the University of Georgia went democrat in the 1990s as the University grew. Atlanta is a fast growing, increasingly educated and wealthy city-the capital of Black America. As the non-white population overtakes the white in terms of size and they access better educational opportunities, the GOP loses its grip. What the US really needs is to overhaul the Senate to be representative. 600,000 in Wyoming have the same power as 38 million Californians. UGA is our partner university and this is looking like a good day for the Peach State.
