Didn’t he stop the ‘fisting’ thing like 10-15 games into his first season?

He seems fairly level-headed to me. Praises the team when we win and deflects the pressure when we lose.

Don't try and talk sense into him, this loss has been a long time coming for him

He is a fking clown.

I quite like Cov City been impressed with their style, my outside tip, was hoping for a good show this weekend, gonna be tough for us

We've lost one game in eleven. All of us would have sold our souls for that 2 months ago.

Mate, in isolation you are perfectly correct... whilst looking at our recent history you are papering over the cracks.

Don't get me wrong, Coops is improving as we go along BUT recently his thinking has proved to be awry.

We were basically rubbish for most of the season after his first 10-15 games so his fisting opportunities were limited. There's been no bugger in there to fist since before we turned things around.

I swore I wasn't going to get excited and start believing. The moment I did we got gubbed. Lesson learned. My ambitions are back to hoping we can be competitive in the next game.

did not change the system quick enough. we need to play different systems against other teams istead of sticking to 352 all the time. teams have got wise to us and set up against us.

Now there’s a post I never imagined you writing, Doc.

Snap. I wasn’t prepared for that yesterday. Schoolboy error.

I bet the Udders couldn't believe their luck an hour before KO yesterday.

"Bah 'eck lads, it's t' same team that we watched on t' video in t' week. You know, t' woon where they were raaaaght crap in"".

I need to move on...

The simple fact for me is that we look weaker every time we put Naughton in the back three. I think I said at some point yesterday we should play Bennett, Guehi and Cabango as our starting back 3 and not rotate it unless we have an injury. These players should be able to come through two games in a week without needing constant rest.

We miss Smith in the middle which suggests we have to play 3 of these 5 - Smith, Fulton, Grimes, Hourihane and Dhanda.

I don’t think maybe Bennett can do two games a week, with his muscle niggles (they can take many weeks of no work to settle if you keep trying to stress them as I know to my own cost) but I would have Lati before Naughton in the three and Naughts at full back and emergency back three or even as defensive mid. Not as a first choice any more.

I agree Phil - I like Kylie as a player, and especially venturing forward. Always a mistake in him in defence I feel.

The defence is a unit, more about organisation than anywhere else on the pitch. Subbing Bennett at HT was risky no matter how off the pace he was - 15 mins at HT is not enough to go through exactly who does what and when IMHO. Hindsight and all that!
