• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

This formation suits Allen down to a T.
Incredibly important player when we are operating as a 4-5-1 / 4-4-2

I'll take that. Less Martinball, more attacking intent, a narrow loss against the runaway league leaders.

On top of that, I actually enjoyed it. It's not all about winning.

Yes, a lot of positives to take from that. Shame Olivier couldn't show a bit more composure with his late chance, but the boys should keep their heads up, they will win more than they lose playing like that.

Allen and especially Fulton off for two flaky players was a mistake I think, but it probably made no difference. A bit disappointed we couldn’t put it together second half but Burnley seem streetwise. They still are a million miles away from Prem class. This league is very ordinary.

Let’s hope we keep trying to play positively.

Ran out of steam and ideas in the end. Decent performance against the top side in the league though

If we play like that the rest of the season we will beat a lot more teams than not.

For me Allen and Fulton both occupy a vital "box to box" role and playing them both at the same time or subbing them both off at the same time was the only real tactical mistake RM made, we lost all control in midfield after that with no one biting into tackles and harrying them with the ball into mistakes.

Based on that performance we definitely need a RWB and a CF to replace Stevens and Obafemi and we should recall Whittaker to replace Paterson. Do that and we have a pretty strong side who will be in a shout of the playoffs.

Played well all in all; two mistakes killed us.

What today has shown is that we desperately need reinforcements. Competition for Piroe is a must and a right back as threatening as Manning would be a dream.

As an aside, this system could really bring the best out of Congreve. He always felt a bit of a square peg earlier in the season but he's one of out only players who can beat a man and out "wide" he'd have a lot of space to use it.

Great performance - game changed when Allen went off, and to be fair to Burnley they took the sting out of the game very well. Great game management.

Burnley are the best team in the league by a country mile and we didn’t look far off them today.

Allen best play of the pitch - just a shame we can’t get 90 mins out of him yet.

Shout out for Manning today. Especially in the first half.
