21/22: The Official Luton Town v Swansea City Match Thread

Have to take that but should have won.

Another point and move on. Incredible response. Don't bench Piroe, Ntcham or Cabango. Thanks

Something is wrong with me, because I still take negatives from the game

There were plenty. First half may be the worst I've seen. Well up there with Huddersfield away under Cooper and Norwich home under Potter.

Then again Coops had a few contenders

Credit where it’s due. Thoroughly disheartened after the first 20, especially as it was obvious after the first couple of minutes which way it was heading, but the manager was big enough to change it and should be applauded for that at least. In the end if you ignore the comedy first half we were by far the better side.

I still think this side will be okay. It nearly but not quite at the moment but not many championship sides have got the quality we have.

He should have changed it well before half time though. It was obvious it was wrong from 20 minutes as you say. We may then have won which we desperately need to do. Our starting formation was dreadful.

Watching highlights when Luton hit the post I didnt realise just how impressive Ntchams tackle was to stop them scoring on the rebound. Easily my MotM today

He's more flexible to change things than Cooper but that says little. The team was a huge mistake and that was obvious at 2pm.

Great comeback but self inflicted damage, 3 games against poor teams has produced three draws but perhaps with the intent we showed in the second half we would have won all three. One win in eight, and that was because the manager confessed that the team took control of things and played "their way" not his. Needs to pull his socks up and stop trying to pretend he's Pep MK2 and adapt or he'll be on his way

If Piroe and Ntcham are fit, they start. That has to be the main lesson he takes from this.

He deserves bollocks.... Got it completely wrong first half and we are going backwards. In fucking done with him, we deserve better. Today was fucking embarrassing.

Would we be in the same position if we were under Cooper?

He dropped a boIIock but you’d be pushed to find a manager that would make those kind of changes in the first 45.

Ntcham is easily a league above our level, I can only assume that after not playing for so long he hasn’t quite hit the 90 in him. Shame to see Downes pulled and Obafemi deserved better but I think it will come. Defence is a huge worry though, just not good enough footballers for the game we’re playing.

Piroe, Ntcham, Downes, Obafemi, all class and even Cabango if we’re talking purely defending. This lot should easily be okay.

Surely to God Martin now has to see his opening formation was wrong. And not playing Ntcham and a Piroe was ridiculous,

Ntcham is so far above the rest it’s unbelievable if he doesn’t play every single minute from now on.

Brilliant to get the point. But it’s shocking that we end up so ecstatic about getting a point at Luton.

Could argue he did exactly the right thing with Ntcham after he was pants on Wednesday. Unleash him for one half at full throttle. Just a shame we were 3-0 down. Still no excuse for starting with Grimes and Downes though.

Just like I thought with Cooper, we need to be much more assertive in our play. It will be very interesting to see which way he jumps now. Adapt or go back to default setting. A free hit on Wednesday to try and make up his mind.

For me that's proof enough that we shouldn't be playing Downes and Grimes together. Ntchum is different gravy and brought everyone into it. Would love to see at least one natural winger in the squad though.
