He's the w@nker who was ref when Sunderland’s won 4-2 win at the Liberty in January 2016, when he managed to miss two Defoe offside goals, award a dubious penalty and send off Kyle Naughton.

That was one of the most bizarre games I've been to.

I never say 'the referee's bent' etc...but that game really did make me think.

How on earth Christie had a yellow, I don't know. If the goal is given then effectively, he's handling a dead ball. Add to that the shocking foul on Wolfie, and I have to say that this bluddy ref is making a right old dog's breakfast of the game. If there's 11 v 11 left on the pitch at thend I'll be amazed. Entertaining as feck, though.

Yep. 2 big decisions to make and he got them both wrong (goal line tech saved us for the first, not him). And a load of being kicked up in the air that he ignored too. I'm getting bored of saying it, but we don't seem to get much luck from officials.

Bobby Madley was the worst I've been too, but I certainly remember Defoe's offsides in that game. The other one was the Man City semi final defeat where they were gifted 2 goals by the officials.
